Let's Draw Birds! Drawing Techniques for the Beginner

Picture
Presented by Marky Mutchler
Date: Thursday, May 12, 2022
Time: 8 AM - 12 PM
Location: Maumee Bay Lodge
Fee: $45
Registration Required: Yes

Class Capacity: 12

During this workshop, we will go over the importance of proportion and guiding lines when drawing or sketching birds. These techniques can be applied to a multitude of scenarios, whether you wish to draw from a reference photo, or from a living moving bird outside. Capturing the “essence” of a bird is the hardest part, so we will tackle the most common issues that often prevent beginners from achieving the drawing they want. Hopefully, these new techniques can help improve the drawings of even the more skilled participants, so there is something for everyone! Make sure to bring your own paper and a favorite drawing utensil. Or, if you prefer, an iPad with a stylus works great too!
