The birding is sensational, but it’s the people that make Biggest Week so special.
Black Swamp Bird Observatory was thrilled to welcome participants from 49 U.S. states, 19 countries, and 5 Continents for this year’s Biggest Week in American Birding! From near and far, birders came together in northwest Ohio to witness the magic of spring migration and celebrate a shared passion for birds and birding. Whether you traveled across an ocean or just down the road, thank you for being part of this incredible community. We’re so glad you joined us, and we hope you'll make plans to come back next year, May 7-16, 2027! |

We're thrilled to share the 2026 Biggest Week Visitors' Guide (BWVG) with a gorgeous Cape May Warbler cover photo by Black Swamp Bird Observatory's own Tyler Ficker!
As you'll discover, the guide has a lot of information about the festival, but it also offers regional information for visitors, and perhaps most importantly, many important conservation messages. |

Read the Biggest Week in American Birding Field Trip Site Guides! This library of resources helps share information about one of the most popular aspects of the festival. In these site guides, you will find information about the locations the trips visit, accessibility information, meeting locations, target species, and how to get your eBird checklists following the trip.
