FREE Songbird Banding & Migration Programs
Presented
by the Black
Swamp Bird Observatory
May 8th,
7 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Magee Marsh Boardwalk,
May 12 and 15,
10 – 11:30 a.m., at Black Swamp
Bird Observatory
These programs offer detailed information on BSBO's
migration studies, provide up close looks at
beautiful spring warblers, thrushes, and vireos,
and share more about the critical stopover habitat that
the Lake Erie Marsh Region represents. Basic
bird identification will be included, so bring
your favorite field guide! The Observatory is
proud to
offer these educational programs FREE to the
public; however, donations are always welcome
and help support all the Observatory's research
and education efforts! Join us for this unique
birding opportunity!
On International Migratory Bird Day, May 8, the Songbird
Banding Demonstration
will be held in the BSBO tent adjacent to the
western entrance to the Magee Marsh Boardwalk.
On the other days, May 12 & 15, the
demonstration will be
held at the Black Swamp Bird Observatory.
